Dumondetech was founded in 1991 and is based in Rockville, MD. The company manufactures bicycle lubricants to help cyclists keep their bikes running smoothly. Dumondetech offers a range of products that include: bar and chain lubricant, cable lube, chain cleaner, dry lube, engine cleaner and degreaser, frame polish spray and aerosol for tires. Dumondetech was founded in 1991 as a bike shop originally out of owner Randy's basement by his wife Linda Dumond. The shop flourished but Randy soon realized that without the proper tools to service customers' bikes he needed to find an alternative solution. He taught himself to use metal forming machines which led him on a path from machining parts for medical equipment companies to making metal bike parts for his own shop customers

Bike grease is an essential part of a bicycle. It is typically applied to the chain and gears. The bicycle owner applies the grease to the chain and gears before every ride, which prevents corrosion, wear, and damage. If a bike owner forgets to apply grease or doesn't have any available, they may use cooking oil as an alternative solution. Bicycle Lubricant Bicycle lubricant is an essential part of a bike. It's typically applied to the chain and gears. The bike owner applies the lubricant before every or just after every ride which prevents corrosion, wear, and damage if it's done correctly,. If a bike owner forgot or does not have any available lubricant then they can use cooking oil as an alternative solution in order for them not to suffer from any consequences that come from riding without lube such as premature rusting of metal parts like chains.

The bike chain is one of the most important parts of a bicycle, and it needs to be properly lubricated in order for it to function correctly. There are many different types of lubes on the market, but they all have similar ingredients: oil and wax. The oils are usually mineral or synthetic oils while the waxes are usually carnauba wax or paraffin. These two ingredients help to keep the chains moving smoothly because they fill in any gaps that might otherwise hold dirt, debris, and water. The best way to apply this type of lube is by using a syringe or bottle marked with measurements for easy application.

A bicycle chain is composed of two plates that are riveted together. One plate has teeth and the other is for the sprockets. The chain engages the teeth of an adjacent sprocket and it rotates, taking up drive from a pedal mounted on an axle. A lubricant is necessary to keep the chain from binding with too much friction and causing wear to both bike components as well as rider clothing during pedaling. The most popular lubricants are oil-based because they have time-tested properties that protect against corrosion, rusting, wear while allowing chains to slide easily along pins in linkages. Bicycle chains can be made of different materials such as steel or titanium which can create a problem when selecting a lubricant type because some work better than others on different materials. PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) based lubes are used in high carbon content chains such as steel because it creates a thin film over metal surfaces which allows them to slide against each other with less resistance while ensuring minimal contact between metal surfaces which reduces friction and wear from abrasion by dirt or sand particles that may be present. In contrast, grease works best for bikes whose chains consist primarily of titanium because it does not contain any alcohols.
